Trip to DC with the Samples!

We had an amazing time with the Samples! They are great hosts! We spend a couple of days in DC to see all the sights. We saw almost everything, it was a blast! Gray and Abbey had a great time playing together. Gray misses her so much now that we're back home. The Samples live in Fairfax, Virgina, about a 30-45 min metro ride into DC. It is so beautiful over there. So many beautiful trees. We went at a great time too, cause all the trees were just starting to turn colors. Gorgeous! I wouldn't want to have to rake up all those leaves though! :) If you want to see more (better) pictures, check out the Sample's blog. Wendi has a much better camera that we have! :)

We were so sad to leave, but can't wait to come back and visit! We miss you guys!

Capital Bldg.
DC Marathon while we were in town. There were a TON of runners!

How tall is the Washington Monument? THIS HIGH!!

The Washington Monument is so tall!

Museum of Natual History is so cool!!
Open wide!!

In front of the White House

So sad to have to leave Aunt Winnie and Uncle Matt's house.

Monday Night Football - Redskins Game

Brian and Matt went to the Monday Night Football game in Washington while we were visiting. Althought the Redskins lost, the boys had a great time. It is so weird though, the game is on so late over there. They didn't get home until after 2 am. I think sports definately cater to west coast time zones!

NY Trip!

While on our trip to DC to see the Samples, Brian and I went to NY for a day to see my good friend Shawna who lives in down town NYC (Park Ave, just a few blocks from the Chrysler Bldg...CRAZY!!). It's a crazy lifestyle...it was so cool to see Shawna in her element! It was so good to catch up with her. We met a few of her NYC friends and she gave us an all day tour. She even took us to a very NYC restaurant for dinner and let us crash at her place. It was an amazing, whirl-wind trip of NYC!!

Aunt Winnie and Uncle Matt watched Gray for a day and night for us while we were on our NYC trip. He was a really good boy while we were gone. Gray misses his Aunt Winnie. He told me the other day that he wants to go see Abbey in Disneyland on Sunday. He's pretty specific.

Shawna and I. She is so gorgeous! I look like had been sleeping on train all morning...oh wait...
A classic shot with the Bull at the NYSE!
Statue of Liberty in the background.
This is as close as he got (even though we did go by the "Rock" several times just in case she was haning around), but he was still pretty excited to see Tina!
Ground Zero. It is crazy that they haven't really gotten anything constructed yet.
Times Square
You may have seen this guy on TV, he is crazy! It was pouring too!

Chrysler Bldg from Shawna's rooftop. She has an awesome view!
Rockafeller Center
Central Park
More Central Park
More view from Shawna's roof. Crazy!!! She has an awesome apartment!

Yes, we did this all in one day! Crazy...but super fun! Thanks Shawna for an awesome day!

Halloween 2009

Our little Idaho Vandal. GO VANDALS!!!

Grayson with Tana, who I work with. He loves Tana, cause she gives him candy even when it's not Halloween! Check out his bucket. He got all of that candy at my work. We do cubicle/office treak-or-treating and the kids make out! It's the best!

Wiffleball Field Update

Progress is being made on the wiffleball field, although Brian doesn't think it's enough progress. The foul poles are up. Might I add that their a little ridiculous! We may need to add some blinking lights so small aircrafts don't hit them.

Boating with the Orchards

I'm a little late getting these posts up! This was a late-summer boat trip on the Cd'a. We had a blast! Gray loves playing with the Orchard kids!
